Ok, bike is on the boat heading to Belawan. But what about me? I chose to go by ferry. It is far more relaxing than airplane and I will get the chance to check MElaka city - second biggest post colonial place in MAlaysia. There's a daily service to Dumai. So first I had I take a bus to MElaka.
Melaka looked beautiful at night with lots of cafees and restaurants in old town area - reminds a lot like Georgetown but seems more tidy and compact. But obviously one night is not enough for this city. It deserves second visit for sure.
Melaka > Dumai 1000bht, trip takes around 3 hours only.
